I suffer from severe aerophilia, which means that I some times do crazy, weird stuff. Like ordering a round trip through Finnmark at 08:00 and then going to the airport 09:30 for a 5 hour trip…..

The multi-stop route is an excellent chance to see our beautiful country from the air, low level. The first leg I sat by the emergency exit, and got a good window for sightseeing.
The flight to Sørkjosen is very special, across the Lyngen Alps and then circle to land over a delta. The landing sequence is very manual flying and bumps and flap 40….
Next flight goes to Hammerfest!
As the captain exits for the walk around, he comes over to me and asks me if I want to join them in the cockpit for the rest of the trip. THANKS TO THOSE WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE! You know who you are, and I truly LOVE YOU. I get an excellent view of the rest of the trip. Finnmark is very special, with a nature that is different from Tromsø. We pass the northernmost point of Europe – Kinnarodden – as well as the northernmost light house in Europe. We land in Mehamn and I stick my head out the door to get some fresh northern air. Lovely!
10 minutes flight later, and we’re in Berlevåg. Leaving Berlevåg we pass Båtsfjord for Vadsø – where we have a 20 minute stop. I join the crew (!) for the lunch, in the sun on the tarmac of Vadsø. What a great experience. Super nice people.

Time to go back home, and we takeoff in the beautiful weather for Tromsø. We climb to flight level 21,000 SLOWLY (dash 8-100s climb slowly, VERY slowly…) before starting our decent. OH MY GOD the lyngen alps?! They are just… gorgeous.
We go in for a short visual approach due to incoming traffic, and at 15.30 I was back at start. What a great flight with Widerøe – thank you so much for the hostpitality! I love Norway!!!
